Resources

This section, which is continually being updated, includes a wide variety of information relating to the relationship between the Muslim and non-Muslim worlds. Included are references to other websites, articles, books, book reviews, TV shows, DVDs, and so forth.

Our intent for the Resources section is to be timely and topical but not exhaustive. In that spirit, we encourage your submission of items to be considered for inclusion. Click here… Although certainly not exhaustive, we believe this information is useful to our program participants as well as other interested parties in exploring the challenges we now face.

For example, one of the issues raised in our meetings is the very basic question "Why do so many Muslims hate the West and the non-Muslim world?" We choose to view this question as "What can the West do to develop a basis for mutual respect and a reasonably peaceful co-existence?" Our resources are selected to explore both the underlying issues and to help define steps to be taken to ameliorate the problems.

The criteria for including a resource is that it be relevant to our activities and that it appears to be basically accurate - although we cannot guarantee the accuracy. Naturally the items may express radically different views. We recognize that some users may consider an item too pro-Muslim, too anti-West, or vice-versa. If users seriously believe that an item is "beyond the limit," we urge you to contact us, and we will review your concerns. That said, we believe that it is better to err on the side of inclusion, if for no other reason than to illustrate the depth of misconception and ignorance on both sides and because diversity of opinion is almost always a healthy attribute of freedom.

Except in rare instances, no material on current economic matters or material on regulations for doing business in a particular country will be included as this information is more readily assembled by others.
