APF Fellow Ade

APF Founders Vic Frank, Hart Fessenden, and
Larry McQuade welcome Ade Prastyani.

APF Welcomes Its First
Visiting Fellow to New York

APF supports  Fellowships in a variety of disciplines — business, law, medicine, and the like — under which APF arranges to bring  promising students and emerging leaders  from one of the Asian countries to the U.S. for  a professionally enlarging experience at a highly regarded U.S. institution within his or her discipline.

Our first successful candidate, Ade Prastyani — a top ranked final year medical student at the University of Indonesia — arrived in New York City this May to begin a Fellowship at  the Weill Cornell Medical College

APF's Board members supplemented her professional experiences by arranging cultural and other opportunities for her to get to know the U.S. and for us to learn from her.

We expect our Fellows to become valuable citizen-leaders in their home countries -- well-positioned and equipped to foster a realistic view among their countrymen of the U.S. and its society, a basic goal of APF.
