Washington, DC — December 2006

On December 19, 2006 the Institute for Peace, a U.S. government agency, sponsored an afternoon meeting for us in Washington D.C. Attending were about 30 people, including representatives from a number of government agencies, business leaders, investment bankers, and other interested parties. No action steps were discussed or adopted, but there was a lively discussion of the general nature of the program, as well as the meaning of such key concepts as "tolerance" and being a "moderate."
