Lawrence C. McQuade is co-Founder and Secretary of the Foundation. He was a founding partner of River Capital International. He has held a variety of posts: Chairman of Prudential Mutual Funds, Chairman of the Czech & Slovak American Enterprise Fund, Executive Vice President of W.R. Grace & Co., President and CEO of Procon Inc., an engineering and construction company which built petroleum and chemical plants, including the then largest LNG plant in the world in Brunei. He continues to be on a number of boards. Before this he was an Assistant Secretary of Commerce and an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell. He is a graduate of Oxford University (Rhodes Scholar) and the Harvard Law School.
